Shoshi Horowitz

Shoshana Horowitz is a Jewish educator based in Riverdale, New York, with a deep love for working with children and helping them connect meaningfully to Jewish learning. She has been teaching Judaic studies in the Sinai Schools special education program at SAR Academy for the past five years, where she brings patience, creativity, and warmth into the classroom. Shoshana's areas of expertise include Hebrew reading skills, Jewish holidays, tefillot (prayer), and the weekly Torah portion. She is especially skilled at meeting students where they are and creating an encouraging and supportive learning environment in which children feel confident and excited to learn. Outside of school, Shoshana draws on her strong musical talents and background in music therapy to teach Bar and Bat Mitzvah lessons, using music as a powerful tool for engagement and connection. She currently works with many Morah Jessie families and also teaches prayer through music at Shaarei Tikvah in Scarsdale. Shoshana’s warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine care for her students shine through in everything she does.
