Ilana Rosenbaum
Tutor
With a passion for Jewish education, culture, language, Ilana has worked as a Hebrew school teacher since high school. After many years in Jewish Day School, Elana spent a year studying at Midreshet HaRova in the Old City of Jerusalem before continuing her education at Brandeis University, where she majored in psychology, health sciences, and Judaic studies. After college, Ilana moved to Israel to become an Israeli citizen. During that time, she worked in PR and marketing at Leket Israel, Israel’s national food bank and food rescue organization. Most recently, she served as the national marketing project manager at ADL, the Anti-Defamation League. Throughout every step of Ilana's journey, she has found ways to focus on Jewish outreach and education. Whether it was leading a classroom of students at the Brandeis Jewish Education Project, tutoring American kids in Hebrew and later on Israeli kids in English, leading prayer groups for children at synagogue, or even working with battered Israeli youth and children with disabilities both in New York and Jerusalem, Jewish education is what comes most naturally to her. Ilana is excited to share that love and knowledge with her students at MJT!
